National Flag of Austria The national   flag of Austria  was adpoted in 1918. The flag has three equal horizontal bands of equal width. The top and the bottom bands are red colored and the middle band is white. The Austrian  triband  is based on the coat of arms of the  Babenberg dynasty , recorded in the 13th century. It may have seen use in flags from about the 15th century,  alongside the black-and-yellow colors of the  House of Habsburg  and other  insignia of the Holy Roman Empire . The Austrian flag is considered to be one of the oldest flags. According to legend, the flag was invented by Duke Leopold V of Austria as a consequence of his fighting during the Siege of Acre. The National flag of Australia was adopted on 11 February 1903 though it was in use from 3 September 1901. On 23 February 1908, a slight change was made to the flag and current seven-pointed Commonwealth Star version was adopted. The current version of the flag is a blue field with the Union Jack in the upper hoist quarter, and a large white seven-pointed star known as the Commonwealth Star in the lower hoist quarter. The right part contains a representation of the Southern Cross constellation, made up of five white stars – one small five-pointed star and four, larger, seven-pointed stars. The national flag of Aruba   was adopted on March 18, 1976. The design of the flag consists of a field of light blue, two thin narrow parallel horizontal yellow stripes in the bottom half, and a four-pointed white fimbriated   red star in the   top left corner of the flag. The current   national   flag of   Armenia was adopted by the Armenian   Supreme Soviet  on 24 August 1990. The Armenian flag consists of three horizontal bands of equal width. The   national flag of Argentina was adopted in February 27, 1812.  It   is a  rectangular flag which is twice wide as it is tall. The   national flag  of Antigua and Barbuda   was adopted on 27 February, 1967 to mark the achievement of self-government . It was designed by nationally acclaimed art teacher, artist and sculptor Sir Reginald Samuel.
